wordys creators — grow & earn
Your characters can pay you
On other character platforms, billions of chats earn the platform and the people who wrote the characters get nothing. Here the ladder is public math: every person who chats with your cast is measured to your name, and the top rung is real money.
The ladder, in the open
- Publish — everything counts as meritMerit is the engagement your published work earns, on one public scale: a person chatting with your character (a play, read, or view elsewhere) = 1 merit, a heart = 5, a comment = 8, a remix = 10. The same formula scores every kind of work, characters included.
- Reach Rising — 500 merit across 2+ published worksThe Character Lab shows your exact standing and the distance left to Rising, live — publish, and watch the same numbers move with every chat and heart.
- Apply, get approved, get paidToday the application is IJR Earn's standard partner application. Anyone can apply; approval is human-reviewed and selective — Rising standing is what gets you noticed. It asks who you are, where your audience lives, and who can vouch for you. Approved partners' published work starts booking Creator Rewards on the rate card below, settled monthly through Stripe in the same payout batches as every affiliate dollar.
The Creator Rewards rate card
What an approved partner's published work pays, measured from our own ledgers — never self-reported.
- Character chatseach new person who starts chatting with your character — counted once per person, not per message5¢
- Game playseach play of a game you published1¢
- Journal readseach unique read of a published post2¢
- Media viewseach unique view of a published artifact1¢
The math, worked: 2,000 new people chatting with your cast in a month × 5¢ = $100. That's arithmetic on the live rate, not a testimonial — your month depends on what your cast actually does.
Share links that count for you
Every published character gets share links in the Lab and the Promote hub. Before approval they carry your name — chats they bring land on your characters and build your merit. After approval they become tracked /e/ links that also pay per verified signup, on top of Creator Rewards.
What we don't promise
- Approval is human-reviewed — a merit score alone never switches money on.
- Your own activity never counts: self-chats and self-plays are excluded in the ledger query itself.
- Rewards cap at $500 per month while the program hardens.
- Rates are product levers — when they change, the change is announced, and this page reads them from the same constants the payout math runs on.
The ladder starts with one published character
Build in the Lab, publish to the open shelf, and watch your standing climb — then apply the moment the numbers say you're ready.
