DJE Kapital AG Sells 79,600 Iamgold Shares
DJE Kapital AG reduced its holdings in multiple mining stocks in the first quarter, stepping out of significant portions of its positions. The firm cut Iamgold (IAG) by 30.6%, ending with 180,200 shares worth about $3.275 million, while also reporting similar scale activity in Newmont (NEM) and Agnico Eagle Mines (AEM) with declines of 37.8% and 4.1%, respectively. Newmont remained the largest holding among the three, at roughly 963,044 shares valued at about $102.476 million after the sale, making it a core position in DJE’s portfolio. In contrast, Agnico Eagle Mines accounted for about 2.2% of DJE’s holdings, with 503,088 shares valued at about $99.548 million after reductions. The moves accompanied broad activity from other institutional investors: new stakes in Iamgold and more substantial purchases by peers in Newmont and Agnico Eagle, highlighting ongoing portfolio rebalancing across mining names. Overall, institutional ownership levels hovered around the mid-40s percent for the mined equities discussed, signaling steady external interest even as DJE trims its exposure.
