Worldcoin ETF S-1 filed by Grayscale
Grayscale has filed an SEC registration statement to launch a spot Worldcoin ETF that would hold WLD directly and trade on Nasdaq under the ticker GWLD. The fund would issue and redeem shares in blocks of 10,000 and would track the value of WLD held by the trust using the CoinDesk Worldcoin Benchmark Rate, minus fees and expenses. Custody and administration would be handled by BitGo Bank & Trust, The Bank of New York Mellon, and CSC Delaware Trust Company, with the vehicle described as passive and not using leverage or derivatives. Details such as the management fee, initial seed investment, and the exact WLD-per-share representation remain to be filled in via later amendments to the prospectus. BeInCrypto and Bloomberg ETF analysts have noted the filing as part of Grayscale’s broader push into single-asset crypto ETFs, while articles also flag that SEC approval and a 19b-4 rule change are still required before listing. The Worldcoin project is powered by the World Network, which uses biometric verification devices called Orbs to create proof-of-humanity credentials.
