Wizz Air Holdings Plc said Michael Delehant will leave his role as group managing director on 31 July 2026 to pursue opportunities outside the company, triggering a leadership restructuring. After his departure, chief operations officer Diarmuid O’Conghaile and chief commercial officer Ian Malin will report directly to CEO József Váradi, with Jingyuan Sun expected to join as chief technical officer and also report to the CEO upon joining. The airline has not named an immediate successor for the group managing director position. CEO Váradi praised Delehant as a tremendous asset during five years of leadership and noted his lasting impact on the organization, while signaling continuity in operations and strategy through the transition. The changes mark a significant shift in Wizz Air’s senior management structure as the carrier continues to adapt to market conditions and strategic priorities.
