Parti Wawasan Negara leader Hamzah Zainudin has proposed naming the BN–PN electoral cooperation in Negeri Sembilan as 'Perikatan Barisan Nasional' (PBN) or simply using the PBN label to reduce voter confusion ahead of the August 1 polls. He emphasized that the name matters little compared with the shared goal of forming the next state government and that BN would lead the administration if the pact wins, with past disputes between the coalitions now set aside for the sake of progress. The informal pact allocates BN 25 seats and PN 11 seats, while Bersatu contests separately under its own logo, and Pakatan Harapan faces the coalition in the race. Hamzah also noted that grassroots members had been unsettled by prior disagreements, but that the situation could be clarified through early discussions and campaigning to explain the coalition’s plans for Negeri Sembilan. He even suggested that growing support, described as a potential 'blue wave,' could translate into a PN–BN victory in the state, potentially influencing the timing of a broader general election. The discussions and branding moves are part of a broader strategy to streamline messaging and unify supporters across the PN and BN camps in Negeri Sembilan.
