Two Men Found Dead in Separate Flagstaff Flooding Incidents

Two men died in separate incidents amid heavy rain and flooding in Flagstaff. Seventy-three-year-old Williams Singavarapu of New York was swept away by fast-moving floodwaters Sunday evening and found dead early Monday less than a mile away. Later Monday morning, police found another adult man dead in a stormwater drainage area near North Highway 89 and Lynch Avenue; investigators said weather may have contributed, but his identity and the cause of death had not been established. Authorities are investigating both cases, and Flagstaff crews carried out at least six water rescues during the flooding.
