Ten militants killed, two female bombers captured in Balochistan
Security forces in Balochistan’s Surab and Mastung districts killed 10 militants and arrested two female suicide bombers along with a facilitator in intelligence-based operations over the past 48 hours, according to ISPR. Seven militants were killed in Surab and three in Mastung, with weapons, ammunition and IEDs recovered as part of sanitisation and targeted raids. The two female suicide bombers and their facilitator were identified as belonging to the India-sponsored Fitna al Hindustan group, continuing Pakistan’s campaign against what it describes as foreign-sponsored terrorism under the Azm-e-Istehkam strategy and the National Action Plan. The operations were described as part of ongoing efforts to eliminate remaining militant networks and their facilitators, with authorities pledging to maintain the counterterrorism push at full pace. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for the operations, underscoring government resolve to uphold peace and stability in the region. The campaign follows broader security actions in the province, including Operation Shaban earlier this month, amid renewed militant activity.
