Taekwang Expands Win-Win Loan Fund to 50 Billion
Woori Bank and Taekwang Industrial signed a mutual-growth finance MOU backed by a 20 billion won mutual-deposit, offering partner firms preferential loan rates of up to 3.5 percentage points and including non-financial support such as succession consulting and asset management to stabilize operations. The collaboration aims to improve access to financing and strengthen the competitiveness of the entire supply chain through tailored financial solutions. Separately, Taekwang expanded its Win-Win Loan program from 10 billion to 50 billion won, increasing the per-company limit to 1 billion won and extending eligibility to 121 suppliers. Under Win-Win, supplier interest rates are reduced by about 3.16 to 3.59 percentage points through nationwide branches of Shinhan Bank and Woori Bank. Taekwang's savings banks will also write off 26.9 billion won in long-delinquent debt to assist financially vulnerable borrowers and reinforce trust with partner companies. These moves reflect Taekwang’s broader effort to ease financial pressure on SMEs and sustain growth in a higher-rate environment.
