Sossion, Lentoijoni Nominated to TSC, Parliament Approval Pending
President William Ruto announced a wave of nominations and redeployments across the executive and key statutory bodies, including nominees to the Teachers Service Commission: Wilson Sossion and Antonina Lentoijoni, who would replace outgoing TSC members once vetted and approved by Parliament. In the same package, Owino Wahong'o was appointed Government Spokesperson, with Isaac Mwaura being redeployed to head the Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Disability Rights after moving from the Government Spokesperson role. The Public Service Commission approved Mwaura’s redesignation and Owino’s move, while Dr. Duncan Ojwang Oburu was named chair of the Independent Policing Oversight Authority and Flora Mutua was nominated to the Public Service Commission. Seven additional individuals were nominated for the Intergovernmental Relations Technical Committee, subject to ratification by the National and County Government Coordinating Summit and parliamentary approval. The announcements signal a broader effort to fill vacancies and strengthen leadership across Kenya’s constitutional commissions and state bodies.
