Mubadala Investment Company and Embraer signed a strategic framework at Farnborough to pursue a long-term collaboration across supply, maintenance, repair and overhaul, workforce development, and research and development, leveraging the UAE’s integrated aerospace ecosystem. A core pillar is workforce development, with plans for Emirati training, knowledge transfer, and placements at Embraer facilities to build engineering and aerospace skills. The partners intend to co-develop next-generation aerostructure technologies—such as composites, additive manufacturing, and high-temperature alloys—and consider a co-located UAE innovation hub to accelerate prototyping and scale technologies. The agreement also opens a pathway for Strata Manufacturing to potentially become a tier-one supplier on Embraer platforms, strengthening supply-chain integration. The collaboration aims to support UAE industrial diversification and align with national programs, while Embraer seeks deeper content and opportunities in the Middle East, and Mubadala expands Abu Dhabi’s advanced manufacturing capabilities. Together, the partnerships reflect a broader effort to position Abu Dhabi and the UAE as a global hub for aerospace manufacturing, MRO, and technology development.
