Pedro Pascal drama Behemoth! premieres at 2026 New York Film Festival

Pedro Pascal’s new drama Behemoth!, written and directed by Tony Gilroy, premiered as the centerpiece selection of the 2026 New York Film Festival and is scheduled to open in theaters December 4. Pascal plays Alex Serian, a gifted cellist who returns to Los Angeles after two decades on the road and confronts the complicated ties among music, family, romance, and his past. To prepare, Pascal undertook an intensive cello crash course, calling the challenge both exhilarating and the hardest creative work he had done. The ensemble includes Olivia Wilde, Eva Victor, Will Arnett, Hank Azaria, Kaya Ralls, and others; early reviews have been largely positive, with critics highlighting Pascal’s performance.
