Bright Horizons Swings to Q3 Loss After Impairment Charge
Bright Horizons reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of about $841.5 million, up 4.8% year over year, while adjusted earnings of $1.80 per share topped analysts’ estimates. Growth was led by back-up care, but revenue came in just below consensus. A $290 million non-cash goodwill impairment, primarily tied to revised projections for Australian operations, pushed the company to a net loss of $230.7 million, compared with a profit a year earlier. Bright Horizons forecast full-year revenue of about $3.07 billion and adjusted EPS of $4.98 to $5.03, both below analyst expectations; reports said the weaker outlook weighed on the stock.
