Clinton Campaigns for Jolly in Florida Governor Race
Former President Bill Clinton joined Democratic gubernatorial nominee David Jolly on Oct. 20, 2026, at an interfaith event at Koinonia Worship Center in Pembroke Park, Florida. About 400 people attended as Jewish, Muslim and Christian leaders gave prayers and remarks. Clinton, 80, spoke about 33 minutes. Election Day is Nov. 3, 2026. A Clinton-headlined fundraiser raised $3 million for Jolly, and the Democratic Governors Association announced $1 million in spending. Jolly said Republican Byron Donalds has raised at least $120 million more than his campaign. An N+ Univision/YouGov poll showed Donalds at 50% and Jolly at 42%, with 7% undecided; among Latino voters, Jolly led 48% to 43%, with 9% undecided. Fox News changed its rating from Likely Republican to Lean Republican. Clinton criticized Trump’s Ukraine and Putin policy, immigration approach, and White House renovations, saying he was tired of treating allies like dirt and that Trump had moved to abandon Ukraine and embrace Vladimir Putin all over again. He questioned whether Donalds changed his mind or just changed the words after dropping Trump agenda material, and said it is not about woke, it is about broke. Jolly told reporters afterward, “We’ve been making the same case for 18 months that Florida was in play.” Donalds held separate stops, including a bus tour stop at La Carreta restaurant.
