Coromandel Reports Q1 Net Profit Rs 381.56 Cr
Coromandel International reported a consolidated quarterly revenue of about ₹8,165 crore and a net profit of roughly ₹381–382 crore for the June quarter, with EBITDA around ₹756 crore and a margin of about 9.3%, reflecting a mix of strong top-line growth and margin pressures from raw materials. The figures show continued revenue resilience driven by its Crop Protection and Nutrients segments, even as profitability faced headwinds, with year-on-year profit dipping slightly in some accounts. The company also disclosed strategic balance-sheet moves, including converting about ₹108 crore of loans into equity in its subsidiary Coromandel Chemicals Limited and restructuring a $9.70 million loan to BMCC into equity or other instruments. These actions aim to strengthen raw material integration and long-term supply chains for phosphatic fertilizer production. Earlier this month, Coromandel was awarded the Responsible Care Certification by the Indian Chemical Council, underscoring governance and sustainability credentials. Taken together, the results point to robust topline momentum and a diversified product mix, alongside ongoing financial restructuring to support future growth.
