Critics Choice Association launches inaugural Creator Awards
The Critics Choice Association announced the inaugural Critics Choice Creator Awards to honor digital creators across podcasts, scripted and unscripted series, documentary and informational content, lifestyle, sports and game shows. The ceremony is set for April 15, 2027, with nominations revealed on March 18, 2027. Eligible works must have been publicly available online in 2026, with submissions open from October 19, 2026 to February 1, 2027. Categories include Best Creator of the Year, Best Podcast Host, Best Audio/Video Podcast, Best Comedy Creator, Best Drama Creator, Best Micro-Drama Series and more. The Creator Awards will join the CCA’s existing awards slate, reflecting entertainment’s shift toward digital and social platforms, a move underscored by the association’s leadership. The initiative emphasizes helping audiences discover standout digital content while recognizing top creators across diverse formats, according to CCA leadership.
