CSU President Amy Parsons to Step Down Dec. 31
Colorado State University President Amy Parsons will step down Dec. 31, 2026; she did not give a reason for her resignation. CSU’s 16th president, Parsons took office in 2023 after years in senior leadership roles across the university system, and she said she would remain in Fort Collins and continue supporting CSU. She cited record enrollment and fundraising, student-success initiatives, and the university’s move to the Pac-12 among accomplishments during her tenure. Chancellor Tony Frank named longtime CSU faculty member and former provost Rick Miranda interim president beginning Jan. 1, 2027. A search for CSU’s next president is expected to begin in the spring, with incoming chancellor Rico Munn leading the process.
