Major Funds Trim Apple Holdings in Q1
Across five filings, institutions reported varied adjustments to Apple shares in the first quarter, with several trimming positions and a few adding or establishing new stakes. Oregon Public Employees Retirement Fund reduced its Apple holdings by 0.7% to about 1.68 million shares, roughly 5.6% of its portfolio and Apple’s second-largest holding. Greenwood Capital Associates cut its stake by 4.0% to 141,056 shares, making Apple about 3.9% of its portfolio and its second-largest position. Nichols & Pratt Advisers LLP MA reduced by 1.6% to 526,411 shares, but Apple remains its largest holding at about 8.6% of its portfolio. Sageworth Trust Co of South Dakota initiated a new position with 1,766 Apple shares, while KDK Private Wealth Management LLC diminished its stake by 20.4% to 8,124 shares, ranking it 10th in its portfolio. Other notable activity included large sovereign and asset managers adding stakes or establishing new holdings, such as Norges Bank, Nuveen, Cardano Risk Management, Laurel Wealth Advisors, and Vanguard, underscoring continued institutional interest in Apple.
