EdenCrete Pz7 Strengthens Indian Concrete Trials
Eden Crete Pz7, tested by India's Central Road Research Institute on mixes for new highways and white-topping overlays, delivered notable performance gains, including up to 28% better abrasion resistance, up to 25% less drying shrinkage, and up to 19% higher compressive strength with up to 14% improvement in flexural strength. The strongest improvements occurred in fly ash–containing mixes, highlighting a synergistic effect between fly ash and carbon nanotubes that can reduce cement demand while maintaining or improving strength. Trials covered 40 MPa and 60 MPa concrete formulations, reflecting applications for both new highways and high‑strength overlays on worn pavements, with the aim of enhancing durability and reducing life-cycle costs. CSIR-CRRI’s testing showed CNTs significantly improved early-age and long-term properties, and the fly ash–CNT interaction was particularly advantageous for achieving high performance with lower cement content. Eden India says it will accelerate field trials for highways and white topping to translate lab gains into real-world road upgrades amid India’s expansive road-building and repair program. The findings position EdenCrete Pz7 as a potential tool to improve road durability and lifecycle costs in India’s growing concrete infrastructure market.
