Cardinal Health has agreed to acquire AdaptHealth’s Diabetes Health business and Strive Medical for about $360 million in cash, with the deal subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals. The Diabetes Health unit serves more than 225,000 patients annually through a centralized mail-order model delivering diabetes management supplies, while Strive Medical provides home medical supplies for urology, wound care, ostomy, and incontinence to more than 20,000 people per year. The transactions follow AdaptHealth’s broader strategic shift to focus on core sleep, respiratory, and home medical equipment businesses, and are expected to be accretive to non-GAAP earnings per share in the first year after closing. Cardinal Health’s executives described the acquisitions as a natural extension of its at-Home Solutions strategy, expanding its reach in diabetes management and related home-care categories. The deal complements Cardinal Health’s recent move to integrate Advanced Diabetes Supply into its distribution network and builds on the company’s efforts to broaden its home-care platform. Regulatory approvals and customary post-closing adjustments are among the conditions that must be satisfied before the transactions finalize.
