Ariana Grande Mourns Dog Coco, Dead at 17
Ariana Grande posted an Instagram carousel on Monday mourning Coco, her Dachshund-German Shepherd mix who died at 17. She wrote that Coco was the sweetest, most amazing and most beautiful, thanked her for her love and for blessing the planet with her physical presence for over seventeen wonderful years, and said she would miss her every day and hold her in her heart always, adding i love you so, sweet girl. The last slide showed Coco's paws with roses beside them. Coco appeared in Grande's first YouTube music vlog in December 2012, titled Coco breaks it down, with the then-19-year-old interviewing the dog. Coco had an X account, MissCocoGrande, last active April 18, 2012, with a post about a morning Ringtoss game. Rachel Zegler wrote love u ari; Leon Thomas wrote Coco was the best. Grande told Billboard in 2015 she got involved with dog rescues by loving animals and that her mission is to help as many homeless dogs find families who will cherish them; she helped launch Orange Twins Rescue. She adopted Toulouse in 2013, cares for Myron from late ex Mac Miller, and with then-fiance Pete Davidson adopted micro pig Piggy Smallz in 2018. The loss comes as Grande is on a break after her Eternal Sunshine tour, ahead of promoting Focker-in-Law with Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro. No cause of death appears in the record.
