Bugs Bunny Voice Actor Eric Bauza Dies at 46
Eric Bauza, the Emmy Award-winning modern voice of Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, died at 46. His family announced the death on Instagram on October 25 with a statement that he "has passed away suddenly" and that "More details to come." Los Angeles County Medical Examiner records cite hypertensive cardiovascular disease as the cause. Born December 7, 1979, in Scarborough, Toronto, Bauza built more than 400 acting credits over two decades starting with The Ripping Friends in 2001. Credits included Coyote vs. Acme, Space Jam: A New Legacy, Looney Tunes Cartoons, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Rick and Morty, and Minions & Monsters. He won three Children's & Family Emmy Awards and five Daytime Emmy nominations, and was preparing to voice Daffy Duck in Bye Bye Bunny: A Looney Tunes Musical. Channing Dungey, Warner Bros. Television Group chairman, paid tribute describing him as a unique talent who helped continue Mel Blanc's legacy. CONTESTED: online estimates of a $1-5 million net worth remain unverified. No other contested claims found.
