EOW Kashmir charges four in airport job scam
The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) Kashmir filed a charge-sheet before the Chief Judicial Magistrate in Srinagar against four accused in an airport job scam, after investigations found they duped job aspirants in the Kashmir Valley of lakhs of rupees with false promises of employment in the Airports Authority of India. The accused are Mohit Sharma alias Bhardwaj, Mukesh Kumar, Mehmood Khan, and Ram Lakhan, all residents of Delhi or nearby areas. The case is linked to FIR No. 36/2018 under sections 420 and 120-B RPC and 66(D) IT Act, with the EOW urging vigilance against such economic frauds. Victims and the public are advised to report suspicious activities to the SSP, EOW Kashmir, or via official email channels. The case and chargesheet have been reported by multiple Kashmir news outlets, underscoring a coordinated effort to curb fraudulent employment schemes.
