Ethiopian Airlines signs deal for 10 Boeing freighters
Ethiopian Airlines has agreed to acquire eight Boeing 777-8F freighters and two 777Fs as part of a plan to modernize its fleet and expand its cargo business. The order makes it the first African airline to commit to the new 777-8F, which Boeing says can carry up to 118 tonnes and offers improved fuel efficiency. The aircraft are expected to boost capacity and operational flexibility as the airline serves rising freight demand and develops its role connecting African markets with global trade. Ethiopian currently operates 18 freighters and serves more than 70 destinations through its cargo network.
