Rahman Launches ARR Immersive on Vision Pro
Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman is launching ARR Immersive, an Apple Vision Pro app that blends music, dance, film, and concert content into spatial storytelling, with a July 22, 2026 rollout on the Apple App Store. The initial library includes three Kathak performances set to Western classical music, original exclusive content, and material from Rahman’s Le Musk VR project re-edited for Vision Pro, along with a dedicated ARR Live section for concert footage. The app utilizes Apple’s spatial audio formats, ASAF, to deliver three-dimensional sound and centers viewing experiences for a more immersive experience. Rahman describes ARR Immersive as a natural evolution of immersive storytelling that deepens emotion rather than replaces it, with future content in development and a subsequent Meta Quest release planned. The project continues Rahman’s long-running exploration of technology in storytelling, following his earlier immersive works and positioning Vision Pro as the primary launch platform before expansion to other headsets. The announcement has been echoed across multiple outlets highlighting the blend of music, dance, cinema, and immersive technology that Rahman aims to make emotionally engaging and personally immersive for audiences.
