Coupang Fulfillment Services (CFS) announced a comprehensive, proactive plan to fully compensate Rocket Growth and Rocket Gross merchants for inventory losses from the Incheon Seoknam-dong fire, extending to stock not directly damaged to prevent secondary disruptions. The company said compensation would be processed on its own responsibility and begin notifying sellers in mid-August after tallying inventory, with minimal documentation to speed payouts. A dedicated one-on-one support channel will help sellers address questions and navigate the claims process, while CFS also aims to minimize administrative burdens by using internal systems to count inventory and avoid invoices or packaging footage. In addition to assisting merchants, CFS highlighted broader community support, including efforts to provide masks to nearby schools and health services for residents around the warehouse area. The measures are described as preemptive to restore business operations quickly and avoid prolonged instability in seller partnerships.
