AT&T Raises 2026 Profit Outlook, Revenue Rises 5.3%
AT&T released third-quarter and nine-month 2026 earnings on October 21, 2026. Revenue hit $32.3 billion, up 5.3% from $30.7 billion a year earlier. Adjusted EPS rose to $0.65 from $0.54 and beat the $0.60 consensus. GAAP diluted EPS from continuing operations fell to $0.13 from $1.29, reflecting a noncash impairment tied to the planned Mexico wireless sale and a year-ago DIRECTV gain. Net income was $891 million versus $9,314 million. The company raised 2026 adjusted EPS guidance and lowered its long-term capital investment outlook. Adjusted EBITDA rose 5% to $12.5 billion. Advanced connectivity revenue grew 6.1% to $23.9 billion with more than one million customer gains. Net adds reached 379,000 postpaid phone, 442,000 fiber and 327,000 fixed-wireless. Free cash flow was $5.0 billion versus $4.9 billion. CEO John Stankey said a growing number of households and businesses choose AT&T for internet and mobile needs, and that fiber infrastructure puts the company in a favorable position to capitalize on artificial intelligence as it builds the highest-performing network in the United States. Nine-month revenue was $95.4 billion versus $92.2 billion; nine-month net income $9.3 billion versus $18.2 billion. No factual disputes appear in the rated coverage. The company expects adjusted EBITDA growth at the high end of 3%-4% in 2026 and 5%+ by 2028, low-single-digit annual service revenue growth through 2028, and double-digit three-year adjusted EPS CAGR through 2028.
