Four men killed after car hits lamppost Huyton
Four men died after a black Seat Cupra left the road and struck a lamppost in Huyton, Merseyside, around 2am. The car was travelling from Liverpool toward Knowsley; a 27-year-old passenger was taken to hospital in a stable condition, while the four deceased were aged 23, 23, 24 and 26. Police have closed Liverpool Road and East Prescot Road and launched an investigation, asking for witnesses and any doorbell or CCTV footage to help determine how the collision occurred. A drone flight restriction was imposed over Liverpool Road to support the inquiry. Authorities say families are being supported as they work to establish the sequence of events, with the case developing across outlets reporting similar details. The story has been widely covered as the investigation continues.
