IEX Q1 profits rise 11.7% to Rs134.8cr
Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) reported stronger quarterly results across the latest periods, with a June-quarter consolidated net profit of Rs 134.8 crore on revenue of Rs 202.8 crore and trade volumes of 37.5 billion units, up about 11.7%, 10%, and 15.9% respectively year on year. The company also highlighted EBITDA growth of about 13.5% to Rs 130.9 crore and an EBITDA margin of 82.9%, signaling high operational efficiency. IEX said its arm Indian Gas Exchange filed for an IPO to offload 22.3% of its shares, with IEX currently owning 47.3% and required to reduce its stake to 25% under PNGRB rules. In a separate older quarter, IEX reported a consolidated net profit of ₹1,347.57 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, up 2.2% year over year, with total income around ₹2,028.09 lakh. The company operates as a dominant power exchange in India, providing trading platforms for electricity and related certificates amid a shift toward market-based electricity trading.
