Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey honored 44 Alabama Law Enforcement Agency trooper trainees in a reception ahead of their Oct. 28 graduation, the final trooper class of her administration. The class brings the total number of troopers who graduated during her tenure to 504 across 19 classes. The graduates will serve across all seven statewide ALEA troops; four are assigned to Marine Patrol and one to Protective Services. Ivey also pointed to her administration’s law-enforcement investments and public-safety measures, while ALEA Secretary Hal Taylor praised the graduates’ commitment to protecting Alabama communities.
