Villanova, Notre Dame to Open Season in Rome

Villanova and Notre Dame will open their men’s and women’s basketball seasons with a doubleheader in Rome, an event inspired by Pope Leo XIV’s election and his ties to Villanova. The trip also highlights Villanova’s growing profile as the pope’s alma mater, including an expected audience with him at the Vatican.
