Marvel Hall H Unveils 2028 MCU Slate
Marvel used SDCC 2026 Hall H to unveil a flurry of announcements, including Ryan Gosling as Ghost Rider with Shawn Levy directing a 2028 release, and the return of Avengers: Endgame Encore with an exclusive Doomsday reveal. The studio also disclosed Black Panther III, directed by Ryan Coogler and featuring Letitia Wright with David Jonsson as T’Challa’s son, while Peggy Carter will reprise her role in Doomsday. VisionQuest will end the WandaVision–Agatha arc, and Spider-Man: Brand New Day received new material, with a clip showing Spider-Man vs. Punisher-era Professor Hulk. Additional updates included the rebranding of Avengers: Doomsday and news that Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom costume was teased in new art, alongside discussions of other projects and trailers from the con. While confirmation of an X-Men project remained absent, Marvel’s slate emphasized sustaining momentum amid mixed past box-office performance and fan interest in a broader MCU future.
