Mike Tomlin unveils the Minecraft city he has been building for 12 years

Mike Tomlin walked viewers through a boutique hotel with an executive spa, therapy rooms, and a glass ceiling over the conference room — the first building in a Minecraft city he had been assembling for more than 12 years.
He posted the tour Wednesday on his YouTube channel. The nearly 20-minute episode, titled "EP 1: ROOFTOPS, PENTHOUSES, AND URBAN LIVING," drew about 20,000 concurrent viewers at debut. Jordan Schultz shared it on X: "Mike Tomlin unveils his 12-year-old Minecraft city for the FIRST time… and it is INCREDIBLE," a post that picked up 48,562 likes as the video passed 334,000 views within four hours.
The map began on a PlayStation in Creative Mode after he watched his kids play in middle school. In an interview with Craig Melvin three weeks earlier, Tomlin said, "I started playing Minecraft, man, when my kids were young. I have a Minecraft city, I'm creative, that I've been working on for like 12 years."
On the walk-through he showed a dense core with a PNC Bank, a CVS, a 7-Eleven, baseball and soccer stadiums, and a high-rise with an aquarium on every floor. "I've always had an interest in architecture and so forth. And so I started building this creative city," he said in the video. The small stuff counted too: "I was always really conscious of appropriate amenities. You'll find, you know, an appropriate number of public restrooms and stuff throughout all my public facilities."
"More than anything, it was therapeutic for me. So, mindless entertainment. I'm not a big TV watcher. It allowed me to detach from the realities and the pressures of life," Tomlin said on the same tour. "At different times over the course of a 12-month calendar, I would have different levels of fixation on this."
Former Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell reacted after the clip spread: "we were tryna win super bowls and coach T was on minecraft building cities 😭"
His son Mason put the household version another way: "Bro I used to come home sometimes and my PlayStation would just be gone. And I wasn't in trouble."
