Team Naver is exporting its 1784 smart building technology to Tokyo Midtown Yaesu for the first time, in a collaboration with NTT East and Mitsui Fudosan. The project will deploy an integrated package of autonomous robots, a cloud-based robot control system, and digital twin capabilities to a 45-story mixed-use complex connected to Tokyo Station. The effort aims to run robot delivery services—starting with cloud-based autonomous delivery—without requiring robot-only elevators or dedicated cloud infrastructure, by leveraging real-world data from four years at 1784. Central technologies include the indoor Rookie robot, the ARC brain multi-robot control system, ARC eye vision-based positioning, and digital twin environments, all coordinated through cloud processing. Mitsui Real Estate will operate the robot delivery and integrate with building facilities, while NTT East maintains the digital twin and robot maintenance. The collaboration signals a broader push toward indoor augmented reality navigation and digital-twin-based building management across general commercial spaces.
