Plano Detectives Shoot Suspect at Carrollton RaceTrac
Plano police detectives surveilling burglary suspects at a Carrollton gas station encountered a burglary in progress at a RaceTrac on International Parkway around 4:20 a.m. When detectives approached, at least one suspect fired on the officers, who returned fire. One suspect was shot and transported to a hospital for surgery, while three other suspects were detained or hospitalized; three of the four suspects are juveniles. No officers or bystanders were injured, and authorities say the incident appears isolated with no outstanding suspects. The suspects were taken to hospitals for treatment, and the detectives involved have been placed on administrative leave as the case is investigated jointly by Plano Police, Carrollton Police, and the Denton County District Attorney’s Office. Authorities have not released the identities or current conditions of the suspects.
