A U.S. Postal Service whistleblower warns that a hastily built, error-prone mail-in voting system tied to President Trump’s March executive order could disenfranchise millions and derail the fall midterms. The system has faced legal pushback, including a federal judge temporarily blocking USPS from requiring states to use an online portal to submit voter information, with the administration appealing. Attorneys and election-law experts describe the process as untested and potentially prone to false positives that would trigger reprocessing of valid ballots, risking delays or rejections at scale. Advocates say the plan introduces new verification requirements that could prevent eligible voters from receiving or returning ballots if lists are mismatched or outdated. The Trump administration argues the measures are meant to ensure ballot security and accuracy, but whistleblowers, lawmakers, and independent analysts warn of significant disruption to mail voting relied upon by a large portion of voters.

For over 200 years American citizens went to a polling place to vote. This mail voting needs to go except for overseas American military and American workers on foreign work assignments. Too much risk and meddling...
Here is the reality! If someone does not get a mail in ballot, they can go to the elections office in their county and prove they are a citizen and they can get their ballot or simply vote in person after proving citizenship! All of the hubbub is ridiculous!
I wonder why anyone would be worried about checking the rolls of people registered to use ballots. Voters are SUPPOSED to be checked periodically. Its nothing new. Just a step that Democrats seem to be against.I wonder why ? Are they hiding something? Hmmmm. Wouldnt they want to make sure their vote was counted correctly & file not taken over by corrupt operators ?
Rushing a brand new ballot portal right before a midterm is asking for chaos. Slow down and get outside auditors on this before it goes live.
If the verification system is that unforgiving, it's not security, it's a filter for who gets to vote at all. Test this stuff for years, not months.
