Reno Man Found, Springfield Deputies Seek Missing Man

Authorities in Springfield, Oregon, are seeking Avery Christopher Maitia, 30, who left his adult foster care facility on Oct. 31 and has not returned. The Lane County Sheriff’s Office says Maitia has significant medical and mental health needs, is without his medication or a cellphone, and may not know the area. In Reno, Nevada, police reported that 79-year-old William “Bill” Spence, who was considered endangered because of memory and mobility conditions and lacked his medication, had gone missing near Kietzke Lane. Reno police later confirmed Spence was found and is receiving care.
