Shin Wins Scottish Open, Ends Title Drought
Jenny Shin won the ISPS Handa Women’s Scottish Open at Dundonald Links, finishing nine under after a final-round 75 that included late bogeys. She had led by five strokes after three rounds, but secured the title two strokes ahead of Lim Kim. Pajaree Anannarukarn finished two behind Shin, while Leona Maguire tied for eighth with a 70. Defending champion Lottie Woad finished 37th and Charley Hull was well back as scoring was tough for most of the round. Shin’s victory ends her LPGA title drought and comes as the event serves as a lead-in to the Women’s Open at Royal Lytham & St Annes. Shin’s nerves and the late bogeys were noted in coverage, but she held on to claim the major-title bid.
