Browns Sign Mathis to Bolster Secondary

The Browns added veteran cornerback Damarri Mathis to bolster their depth, trading in experience from Denver and Carolina after signing and releasing moves that also included Dom Jones being cut; Mathis arrives after 18 starts in 43 games and a recent ACL injury setback. He joins Denzel Ward and Tyson Campbell in a competition for roles as Cleveland eyes training camp and roster positioning ahead of the 2026 season.
