Grass Fire Behind Explorer Elementary, Multiple Crews Respond

Crews from the Colorado Springs Fire Department contained a grass fire behind Explorer Elementary School, near Austin Bluffs Parkway and Brainard Drive, with investigators saying it was human-caused. Crews worked through early evening to extinguish the flames, and motorists were urged not to stop on the roadway while containment was established.
