Vard lands €220m Trinity House vessel contract

Vard has won a contract exceeding €220 million from Trinity House to design and build two Vard 9 601 multi-function buoy and lighthouse maintenance vessels, as part of a fleet renewal that will replace THV Patricia and THV Galatea. The vessels will feature hybrid propulsion, battery storage, digital and cybersecurity upgrades, and are prepared for potential methanol conversion, with a training partnership and emphasis on UK-content throughout the build.
