Iconic Pilot Sully Sullenberger Diagnosed with Alzheimer’s
Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, famed for the 2009 Hudson River landing, says he has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and is in the early stage after receiving the diagnosis in August 2025. He plans to speak out to raise awareness and support others, with his wife Lorrie stressing his steadiness as he continues to live his life and pursue public milestones, including a National Aviation Hall of Fame induction slated for September.
