Bowman to Retire After 2027 Cup Season

Alex Bowman will retire from full-time NASCAR Cup Series competition after the 2027 season, signing a one-year extension with Hendrick Motorsports who he has driven for since 2018. The 33-year-old eight-time Cup winner has overcome multiple injuries, including a concussion, a broken back, and vertigo, and will conclude his full-time career after next season with a finish-up year of competition for the No. 48 Chevrolet.
