The defending champion Seattle Seahawks overcame an early hip injury to starting quarterback Sam Darnold and rallied from a 10-0 deficit to defeat the New England Patriots 13-10 in the season opener and Super Bowl rematch. Backup Drew Lock completed 16 of 22 passes for 187 yards and a touchdown, including a tying 45-yard scoring pass to Jaxon Smith-Njigba, while Jason Myers’ late field goal put Seattle ahead. The Seahawks’ defense intercepted Drake Maye three times in the fourth quarter, with Josh Jobe sealing the victory on a toe-tapping interception in the end zone with 21 seconds remaining; Maye finished 23-of-33 for 178 yards and a touchdown. Scans reportedly showed no fracture or significant damage to Darnold’s hip, and he could miss only Seattle’s Week 2 game against Arizona, though the team has not confirmed a timetable. The victory extended Seattle’s winning streak to 11 games, tying the longest in franchise history, while New England became the first NFL team in 30 years to record three interceptions, three sacks, three penalties and no points in a quarter.

Lock stepped up nicely after the injury and those final drives showed why Seattle stuck with him as backup.
Maye needs to clean up those turnovers fast or the Patriots season is going nowhere with three picks like that.
