The Chicago Bears and running back D’Andre Swift have agreed to a three-year, $33.75 million contract extension that includes $27.5 million guaranteed. Swift, 27, is coming off the best season of his NFL career, rushing for 1,087 yards and nine touchdowns while helping Chicago win the NFC North. The extension keeps him with the Bears through the 2029 season and follows his initial three-year, $24 million deal signed in 2024. Chicago has made retaining key players a priority this offseason as it prepares to open the season against the Carolina Panthers.

Extending him for 27.5 million guaranteed is a lot for one back but the team clearly values keeping core pieces together.
Good to see the Bears locking up Swift after his 1087-yard season, the run game should stay reliable through 2029.
