Valkyries Rally to Win First Playoff Series

The Golden State Valkyries rallied from a 16-point deficit to beat the Dallas Wings 77-73 in a winner-take-all Game 3, securing the franchise’s first playoff-series victory. Gabby Williams scored 19 points, including the go-ahead jumper with 1:17 remaining, and a late successful coach’s challenge helped Golden State retain possession. Arike Ogunbowale led Dallas with 30 points, but the Wings missed their final five field-goal attempts after taking a five-point lead with just over three minutes left. Two days earlier, Ogunbowale scored a WNBA playoff-record 45 points in Dallas’s 108-100 overtime win to force Game 3. Golden State advances to face the defending champion Las Vegas Aces in the semifinals.
