Stella Parton Alleges Ballot Switching in Tennessee
Stella Parton said that while early voting at Nashville’s Hermitage Library, the machine repeatedly displayed Republican Marsha Blackburn after she tried to choose another candidate. She said she had to correct her selection three times. Other voters in nearby Williamson County reported similar difficulties. The Tennessee Secretary of State’s Office said it has received one complaint of this kind among roughly 400,000 ballots cast. State officials say voters can review their selections on screen and check the paper record, and should alert a poll worker if they see a discrepancy before casting their ballot. The record does not establish that voting machines intentionally changed votes. No verbatim quotes from Parton are included.
