SUV Crashes Into Florida Daycare, Injuring Five
On Oct. 15, 2026, around 3 to 3:30 p.m., a 2003 Honda CR-V left the roadway while traveling southbound in Pine Hills, Florida, crossed the median and northbound lanes, and crashed through the wall of Tattletales Learning Center. The vehicle came to rest fully inside the building, which had 14 people inside. Three children believed to be 4 years old and two adults—the driver and a daycare employee—were taken for medical care. The Orange County Building Department denied occupancy after the crash, and inspectors examined the structure. Outlets disagree on the driver's age. iHeartRadio reported a 71-year-old man; Naples Daily News and a wire summary reported 79. Orange County Fire Rescue battalion chief Nichol Stratman said all five are expected to recover, though one child sustained more serious injuries. An Orange County Fire Rescue official said they were "shaken up" and "scared from what occurred," and that "the fact that there are no fatalities is a blessing." The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating why the vehicle left the roadway. No right-rated coverage was recorded.
