Taylor Swift Skips Chiefs Road Loss to Broncos for Toy Story Screening

Taylor Swift was not at Empower Field at Mile High on November 1 when the Kansas City Chiefs lost to the Denver Broncos 28-24 on the final play. She attended a Toy Story 5 screening linked to the song she wrote for the film, "I Knew It, I Knew You." In a December 2023 Time interview she said of attending games: "I'm just there to support Travis. I have no awareness of if I'm being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads." she added, "For him, it's practice. For me, it's rehearsal. For him, it's a game; for me, it's a show. We just call them different things." Contested: Elle Magazine placed the Toy Story 5 event in New York City as a Q&A screening; Headtopics placed it in Kansas City with director Andrew Stanton. Elle foregrounded a home-only attendance pattern and security considerations; the New York Post foregrounded the appearance of skipping support during an AFC West loss. Kristin Moldstad has described security guards at games monitoring the crowd rather than the field. Swift also missed the October 25 loss in Seattle. Travis Kelce discussed that defeat on his New Heights podcast on October 28. The Chiefs host the New York Jets next Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium.
