Trump Plans to Attend Alabama-Georgia Game
President Donald Trump announced on Oct. 2, 2026, at a Mitchell Center rally on the University of South Alabama campus in Mobile that he will attend Alabama's home game against Georgia on Oct. 10 at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa. Kickoff is 6:30 p.m. CT on ABC, with No. 7 Alabama and No. 2 Georgia both undefeated. "We love Alabama," Trump said. "In fact, we love it so much I'll be here again next Saturday to watch a football game between Georgia and Alabama. They say it's gonna be a good game. I would think so. One is rated No. 2, and one is rated No. 7, but that doesn't matter too much at this stage." Trump attended Alabama's 41-34 win over Georgia on Sept. 28, 2024, when Alabama led 30-7 at halftime before Georgia rallied and Ryan Williams' 75-yard touchdown reception put Alabama ahead for good; Trump watched from a suite and was recognized in the stadium. He was also at Alabama's 46-41 loss to LSU in 2019 and 34-24 loss to Texas in 2023. europesays.com/People puts his Bryant-Denny record at 1-2. He gave Alabama's commencement address in May 2025. The prior weekend he attended Texas's 20-17 win over Tennessee in Knoxville, decided on a deflected last-second Hail Mary from Faizon Brandon. A University of Alabama athletics official told The Tuscaloosa News they were unaware a visit was confirmed but that it was a possibility.
