Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched a suite of welfare schemes for registered construction workers under the Uttarakhand Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, highlighting the government's commitment to improving workers’ lives. Two Medical Mobile Vans under the Chief Minister Health Scheme were flagged off to provide health services for workers and their families, including on-site and remote-area delivery. The new schemes include the Chief Minister Nutrition Scheme, the Chief Minister Education Material Scheme, and a sanitation program inspired by Swachh Bharat to distribute hygiene kits. The Chief Minister Yoga and Wellness Arogya Scheme will offer free yoga and wellness training to eligible students from workers’ families, with residential training for 210 students annually and employment links for 70 trainees. The Workers' Health Check-up Scheme will deploy vans with 44 diagnostic tests, such as X-rays and ECGs, focusing on reach in remote districts, while the government stressed transparency to ensure benefits reach genuine workers.
